ALEX WELDON

Head Coach (15U)

Alex Weldon graduated from Central Hardin High School in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Following graduation, he decided to enlist in the Army as an Active-Duty Infantryman. After fulfilling his contract, Alex left the military and enrolled at the University of Mississippi in University, Mississippi where he played baseball for the club team until COVID shut down all campus activities.

Coach Weldon transferred to Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky and began his coaching career as he restarted the club team. He is currently pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice with a focus on Homeland Security.

In 2023, Coach Weldon joined the baseball staff at Model Laboratory High School in Richmond, Kentucky and took on the roles of outfield coach, first base coach, and head JV coach. He helped coach Model to tie the program's record in wins in 2023, and helped break the record in 2024. Coach Weldon has also coached two seasons of travel baseball with Commonwealth Baseball Club in Lexington, Kentucky.

Coach Weldon currently serves as an assistant coach at Montgomery County High School in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, where they finished the 2025 season with a 20-15 record and as runner-up to the Region 10 championship.
