After high school Coach Myers found a love of leadership and development of people while serving in the United States Marine Corps. From the beginning of his career, he was awarded leadership roles and eventually left the Marines as a Platoon Sgt. overseeing the professional development and well being of around 40 Marines.

Coach Myers picked up his love for baseball again in 2023 coaching with Scott County Youth Baseball after moving to Georgetown. He served as an assistant coach in Spring 2024 in Rookie League, and served as an assistant coach for the the Scott County All Star 6U team, winning two tournament championships. Coach Myers served as an assistant coach on the GBC Mavericks 7U team, where they won two tournament championships.

Coach Myers plans to continue Coach Curtis’ way of developing every player’s baseball skills and character development. He always makes sure to tell his players that great attitude and giving 110% effort is part of the team's everyday expectations. He loves seeing young players have a great experience on the baseball field while also being extremely competitive.
