Georgetown Baseball Club wouldn’t be where it is today if it weren’t for Coach Fields, who serves as Immediate Past President of the organization.
Coach Fields grew up in Scott County and played varsity baseball at Scott County High School. After graduation he played two years at Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, Kentucky and then finished out his last two years at Kentucky State University in Frankfort, Kentucky where he was named to the All-Conference Second Team his senior year for the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
Coach Fields began coaching in 1999. His Scott County RedBirds 14U team won the Mickey Mantle State Championship in 2001. Coach Fields served as an Assistant Baseball Coach at Scott County High School for eight years and then started the middle school baseball programs in Scott County in 2007-2008. He coached in Scott County Youth Baseball for six years, serving as both a Head Coach and Assistant Coach for All-Star teams for four years.
Coach Fields co-founded the Georgetown Baseball Club Mavericks in 2017 and served as the head coach, guiding the team to a 31-14-2 in their inaugural season. He currently serves as an Assistant Baseball Coach for Scott County High School in Georgetown, Kentucky. Coach Fields is an active member of the American Baseball Coaches Association.
