As Director of Player Development, Terry Smith works with each team throughout Georgetown Baseball Club, enhancing each player’s skill level and baseball IQ. He has a passion for working with the youth of Central Kentucky, and this position allows him to continue that pursuit with every player in the organization.

Coach Smith was a four-year starter for Harrison County High School, winning the Kentucky High School Athletic Association State Championship as a senior in 1997, posting a 40-1 record. He helped his team to be ranked 5th in the nation by Baseball America, and 11th by USA Today. Coach Smith also played on the Harrison County High School State Championship team in 1993 as an 8th grader. He earned All-State honors his senior year, and was also selected to the 10th Region All-Tournament team as a sophomore. Coach Smith was inducted into the Harrison County Hall of Fame in 2015.

Coach Smith played college baseball at Campbellsville University, where he was a four-year starter. He helped his team to the Mid-South Conference Championship in 2000, and was selected to the All Mid-South Conference Team in 1999 and 2000. Coach Smith was a member of the US Athletes International Team in 2000, and earned a silver medal in the German Baseball Open.

Coach has coached youth baseball with Scott County Youth Baseball and with Scott County Sidewinders travel team, winning several travel championships, and posting an overall record of 220-30. He also served as a head coach for Georgetown Baseball Club 15U, 16U & 17U teams, winning numerous championships and helping many players continue to play in college.

Coach Smith has served as an Assistant Baseball Coach for Scott County High School and Harrison County High School.
